MEET NICOLE
Hello and Ciao! I’m Nicole, the founder and calligrapher behind Calligrastein (Calligraphy + Lindenstein), which I started in 2019. I’ve long been drawn to lettering, starting with my grandma’s broad edge calligraphy markers (hello, 1980s!) and my participation in the Pen & Quill Competition while in school. I’m an Orange County native, and I’ve also lived in Berkeley (Go Bears!), Trento, Italy (where I lived during college), and Madison (where I attended grad school - Go Badgers!). I’ve been back in Tustin since 2010, and I love being part of my community.
As a calligrapher, I specialize in custom stationery, paper goods, signage, and engraving. I also teach calligraphy in small group settings to give my students the opportunity to receive personalized instruction.
When I’m not working with calligraphy clients and students, I’m also a college-level Italian professor, a mom to two busy kids (dance mom AND a baseball mom), an avid book reader (I can talk books all day), tv watcher, musical theater lover, and iced coffee drinker.
